Who We Are?

We are problem solvers who love to build solutions with a far-reaching, positive impact.

What We Do?

We make it easy for IoT device manufacturers, HVAC equipment manufacturers, IAQ sensor manufacturers, HVAC service companies, and others to leverage data science and machine learning to make indoor spaces healthier and more comfortable.

Why We Do This?

Most of us are familiar with the impact of pollutants on outdoor environments.  However, many of us are not aware that indoor environments are typically 2 to 5 times more polluted than the outdoors.  When you combine this with the fact that most people spend up to 90% of their time indoors, we felt compelled to address this issue.

Why Focus on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning?

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment for indoor spaces can play a vital role in impacting indoor air quality.  Particularly when we combine this HVAC equipment with Aurai's ability to apply data science and machine learning to data gathered from sensors.  Not only can we significantly improve the health of indoor spaces, but we can advance the HVAC and indoor air quality industries by an order of magnitude, creating a multi-billion dollar business opportunity.

Why Use a Sensory Network and Data Science?

Our team were busy working on the Ecovent system, which is a smart HVAC solution that provides room-by-room control for heating and cooling.  At the heart of the Ecovent system is sophisticated data science that works with data from a rich network of temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors.  At the same time, we were learning about the challenges with indoor air quality.  We then realized that our calling is in applying our expertise to tackle the much more significant challenge of making indoor spaces healthier.

Since then, we expanded the data we work with to include sensors for carbon dioxide, particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, and more.  We analyzed the connection between HVAC and indoor air quality, and we knew we were onto something big.

Our Secret Sauce...

We have a treasure trove of data, with several years of rich sensor data from millions of square feet of commercial and residential indoor spaces.  Our data scientists are continually working with this data, applying machine learning and publishing “data signatures” or patterns that detect the conditions that matter most to us.  We are now making this data science accessible and affordable for your organization to add to your products to solve indoor health issues.
